Adventure Team

You need someone that knows what the #$%! is up.”
– JWF

Do you have an Action/Adventure team?    Maybe you do and didn’t even know it.

These are the people you’re with on your adventures – camping, paintball, hiking, shooting, buckskinning, overlanding, etc.

While I love having solo adventures in the woods, there is a definite benefit to going in with a crew – safety, shared skills, shared equipment, and most of all – a shared good time and experience.

I once read the the average lifespan of a single individual in the wilderness was 2 years, but with a group of five, that jumps to decades!

And there are some events that positively won’t work if you are running solo – nothing sadder than playing paintball by yourself in the woods.

A team allows you to share skills across the group:

  • Dedicated medic (Wilderness First Responder, EMT, etc.)
  • Communications/Ham radio operator
  • Driver – off-road driving is a definite skill
  • Mechanic
  • Cook (maybe the most important skill, if you find someone that likes to cook over a fire….)
  • Ninja

Having a team also allows you to share some gear.    While you need your own individual kit, you only need to bring one shovel, one larger first aid kit, coffee pot (the bigger the better!), one set of gunsmithing tools, grappling hook, etc.

Who shows up when you make the call?

Red Dawn - Squad Goals

Once you have your team together, all you need is a decal and/or patch and you’re legit….
